The three part NCR (no carbon required) set is made up of top white, middle yellow and bottom pink sheets all glued together at the head. Each waste transfer note is printed with a unique sequential number for easy referencing in their records.

Due to the client often using their waste transfer notes when doing pickups it was decided to bind them in books of 50 sets. The reason for this is that stapled books are much stronger and hard-wearing than glued pads. 

 Each sheet was perforated on the left hand side to make them easy to rip out when back in the office. 

To protect the books, each has strong card front cover printed with the same details as the duty of care sheets inside. The back cover is made of the same tough card and is extra long. It extends out and around the side of the book so you can tuck it back inside the front to act as a writing shield. As you can see these waste transfer notes have a lot more details to be filled in on them that normal due the nature of the clients work. This is the reason they were printed in A4 size rather than A5; too accommodate all the information needed.

Here is a print run our waste transfer note printers have just produced for Woolmer Environmental based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Basically, they needed 500 three-part A5 (210mm x 148mm) carbonless waste transfer notes, printed in black ink and numbered. 

The three sheets used were a top white, and middle yellow and a bottom pink, all of which were carbonless. This means that whatever you write on the top white sheet gets duplicated on the yellow and pink sheets below it. 

Furthermore, they wanted them bound into books of 50 sets, with each sheet perforated with the exception on the bottom pinks. This is so that they can keep the pink copy in the book at all times as a file copy. In addition, each book also had a printed front cover with the same image on them as was printed on the internal sheets and a wrap-around back cover. This extra-large cover wraps around the book and then tucks back into the book to act as the writing shield.

Pembs Waste Collection of Sageston, Pembrokeshire asked us to print these custom waste transfer notes for them.

The waste transfer notes are printed in A5 size (210mm x 147mm) and are landscape as opposed to the more usual portrait type.

As a result, the books binding is on the short edge rather than the long. It consists of 3 heavy duty wire staples with a Linson tape binding strip over the top to make it look tidy. The front cover is printed with the same image as the internal pages and the back cover is an extra long strip of thick card that wraps around the book and then tucks back into the front to act as a writing shield.

The internal duty of care notes pages are printed on carbonless paper so they automatically copy any writing onto the sheet below. The top sheet in printed on white, middle on yellow, bottom on pink and all 3 are numbered with the same reference digits.
